This movie has no redeeming value, other than plain old laughter and escapism. As someone from Lincoln County It was just okay.
As someone from Lincoln County NC where these people are from and remember this heist when it happened it, i was hoping that they would have incorporated the fact that they stored the money in a rental storage unit in Lincolnton which i thought was hilarious at the time.
Of course the fact that they really did buy a velvet elvis painting topped the cake. I do have high standards for what I watch in regards to the fact that I avoid violence, sex, and language in movies.
In our home, we watch movies like this with the remote in hand, ready to fast forward over the content.
I have watched this 3 times and truly enjoy it. If you like quirky humor based on real-life events - it is a fun film - with editing! I love the actors!
A few of my favorites, and definitely among my favorite women actors. It's light, silly, colorful.
The wardrobe and music were fun. I'm giving it a 3 plus acknowledging at another point in my life I would have given it a 5. And honestly, if I was only rating it on helping me avoid and heal some stress, I'd give it a 4!
If you don't want to think, and just be entertained by some of the funniest folks of our time, turn it on! When I saw the trailers, I looked forward to watching this movie.
Then, after reading the reviews on here, I was sure I was going to be disappointed. But I actually enjoyed the movie and there were a few laugh-out-loud scenes.
However, most of the humor was subtle, and I'm thinking that's why so many people have rated it lower than it should be.
There were some laugh out loud moments for sure, but this was so weird and over the top, that even though I didn't really like the film, I just had to keep watching nonetheless.
It's like in our city when once a year there is a hippie festival, a bunch of half naked people with feathers hanging from their hair and bodies doing interpretive dance to drums and tambourines I don't want to look stare actually , but I just can't help myself, it's just so weird!

I had to return the item, this was done without any problems or issues. Just very upset in not being able to purchase an excellent film in the required region 2.

A slap stick comedy with a few funny scenes which tend to be rather far between. A real no brainer along with some rather poor acting.
Stunts are minimal Watch if one has no great expectations and does not want to waste too much money on the DVD. Would never have gone a theater to see this one.
