Whilst the Adults may Love the Commentary, and some of the extras that explain the attention to detail, the kids may just get into the total fun of the Whimsy and awesome fun that is Dr.

Seuss, and dare I say it, the time-less fun that is the tales of Dr. And the look of the two worlds is totally appropriate, even the music is elemental, and very much within the tone of the story.

My 5 and 6 yr old are "beginner" movie watchers. This was only the 2nd full length movie they've ever sat through because they get scared easily, but the "scary" parts were not too scary.

They enjoyed it and look forward to watching it again. We read the book first and then watched the movie. There are differences and more details in movie than the book, as you would expect.

It looks and plays fine until a certain point near the end of the film if freezes and jumps about 10 minutes, this has happened to a few of the disc that I've bought from Amazon, the packaging is not the issue, I believe it's the deliverer's being heavy handed and not taking care with parcels, I've had a few DVDs loose in the case which may have caused some of the issues.
